Dr. Platt is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. He provides the most advanced surgical techniques with the newest LifeStyle lenses reducing the need for glasses. Dr. Platt has performed over 18,000 of cataract and laser procedures during his career. He works with the eye doctors in the surrounding area allowing patients to remain with their current eye doctor.

Dr. Platt began practicing ophthalmology in 2000. He completed residency training at the UAMS Jones Eye Clinic in Little Rock where he was the recipient of the Raymond & Mary Morris Resident Award. He graduated with distinction from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences in 1996. He has participated in numerous FDA clinical trials. Dr. Platt is a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Phi honor societies. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Platt has also had much success in eyelid (oculoplastic) surgery. He performs blepharoplasty, blepharoptosis, and brow procedures. He removes benign growths and skin cancers around the eye. Dr. Platt has performed thousands of oculoplastic procedures. He has experience correcting eyelid malpositions (entropion, ectropion, trichiasis).

Dr. Platt has enjoyed providing cataract surgery to underserved people in Mexico. He has served as a volunteer physician at the Camp War Eagle youth summer programs for five years. His activities include exercise, tennis, golf, water sports, and guitar. He is married with four children and loves spending time with them.
